Apple tv crashes while updating validating competency models
After going through the download and install process over Wi-Fi, the i Phone showed an error window and indicated you needed to plug it into i Tunes on your computer.
Connecting it to the computer brought up another error window that said, "There is a problem with the i Phone 'i Phone' that requires it to be updated or restored." The message indicated you might have been able to fix the problem by updating your phone, but if the update didn't work, you might have had to restore your phone to factory settings, which erases all content and settings.
It's obviously due to one of the updates because I never had any issue until last year or so.
Eventually, I was able to update to i OS 10 through i Tunes.
Three hours after I started downloading i OS 10, I finally had it loaded on my i Phone 6S.
I have had this issue for several months, the Apple TV is up-to-date, I've even done a factory reset, but the same problem is happening, and it appears to be most common on Netflix.
After playing for a few minutes, the app crashes and the system restarts.
This may well have to do with Apple’s server caching, but it’s annoying nonetheless. Connect all three up, and launch i Tunes, and it should spot your Apple TV connected.
From there, select your Apple TV from within i Tunes, choose “Restore”, and it’ll contact Apple’s servers and run through the download process.
If you're having trouble getting video or audio content from a specific channel or provider, you may want to chat with them.
Check out Apple's list of contact information for content providers for phone numbers, websites, and email addresses to most popular services supported on the Apple TV.
Be aware that doing so will erase any local content you have, including game saves that aren't backed up to i Cloud.
If your Apple TV is completely unresponsive, it may be time to connect it to your computer and force a restore via i Tunes.
Anyone who was affected should connect to i Tunes to complete the update or contact Apple Care for help." Initially when clicking on "update," another error window popped up, saying i Tunes would update the i Phone to i OS 9.3.5, the version of Apple's software that came before i OS 10.
